Virginia State Police reported seizing drugs valued at more than $830,000 and recovering 13 firearms during crime suppression operations conducted across the Commonwealth from Sept. 30 through Oct. 6.
The results came from multiple criminal investigations and interdiction efforts involving State Police, State Police task forces, and supporting federal and local law enforcement agencies.
According to the agency’s weekly report, the seized narcotics represented an estimated $830,850 in denied drug revenue.
Among the largest seizures reported during the week were 90.2 pounds of marijuana, 5.5 pounds of cocaine and 4.5 pounds of methamphetamine.
Authorities also reported recovering 14 grams of crack cocaine, 1.3 ounces of MDMA and 9.9 pounds of THC consumable products.
The figures include drugs recovered directly by Virginia State Police as well as seizures involving State Police task forces, federal task forces and cases in which State Police assisted other agencies.
During criminal drug investigations, troopers also recovered 13 firearms with a reported total value of $6,500.
Virginia State Police did not provide information in the weekly report identifying individual suspects, arrests, specific seizure locations, or criminal charges connected with the reported activity.
The agency said the operations are part of continuing efforts to combat crime throughout Virginia and involve cooperation among local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
Virginia State Police said the work aims to disrupt criminal enterprises, enforce state laws, and support public safety efforts across the Commonwealth.
