Virginia’s 6th District Deserves Better Representation
The residents of Virginia’s 6th Congressional District face difficult times. Rising utility rates, higher housing costs, and grocery bills continue to strain household budgets across our community.
Over the last several years, inflation has hit local families hard, and consumer prices have risen sharply nationwide. Across our district, families feel pressure from many directions.
Gas prices remain a concern for many drivers.
Home prices and rental costs have risen significantly in many parts of our region.
Grocery costs remain high, placing a weekly burden on working families.
Electricity bills continue to climb, while the rapid expansion of energy-intensive data centers raises questions about grid stability and long-term affordability.
Changes to Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act also raise concerns about whether Virginians will continue to have access to affordable health coverage and local medical care.
In my view, rather than prioritizing relief for everyday residents, Rep. Ben Cline’s voting record has too often supported tax and regulatory policies that benefit corporations and wealthy individuals. I do not believe that record reflects the priorities of many working families in this district.
Our district deserves representation focused directly on lowering consumer costs, protecting access to health care, and investing in the financial stability of local communities.
I believe Beth Macy offers an alternative that would put ordinary citizens’ needs ahead of corporate and private interests.
