Who Should Clear Snow From Fire Hydrants and Sidewalks?

Published

on

Should the town be responsible for clearing our fire hydrants?

Sidewalks are owned by the town and are in the town right-of-way, so expecting residents to clear sidewalks with 6 feet of ice from our snowplows or hydrants is unacceptable.

We own them and maintain them. Expecting residents to do our job is unacceptable with sidewalks or fire hydrants.

We must find a way to clear sidewalks and fire hydrants throughout our town. Let’s figure this out!
