David Wayne Strickler (1960 – 2025)

David Wayne Strickler, 64, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, February 21, 2025.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3, at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, with Sammy Campbell officiating. The entombment will be private.

David was born December 3, 1960, in Harrisonburg, Virginia, the son of the late Harry Morgan and Magaret Louise Ferrell Strickler.

He retired after many dedicated years as a Master Plumber from the Warren County School System.

David was one to strike up a conversation with anyone and never met a stranger.

His family and many friends will greatly miss him.

Surviving is his loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Donna Strickler; one son, Matthew Strickler and wife Jessica of Salem, Virginia; three brothers, Craig Strickler and Chris Deavers, both of Front Royal and Bill Strickler of Annandale, Virginia; one sister, Joan Cannon of Front Royal; one grandson, Jasper David Strickler; and twin grandsons on their way.

He also had family and friends who were like brothers to him: Chuckie Madagan, Eddie Atkins, Gary White, and Anthony Kerns.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bryan Strickler and Chuckie Deavers.

Pallbearers will be Chuckie Madagan, Eddie Atkins, Steve Heflin, Raymond Sargent, Anthony Kerns and Gary White.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 3, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
