Dawn Lee Dodson, 55, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 11 AM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, with Bobby and Diann Whetzel officiating.  Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Dawn was born on October 12, 1970, in Front Royal.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher Dodson; brother, Daniel Duane Fadely; and sister, Tina Fadely Jenkins.  She was a member of Front Royal Church of the Brethren.  She had a great sense of humor, a contagious laugh, and loved making everyone around her laugh.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, and loved animals, especially her cat.

Survivors include her mother, Frances Johnson Woodward; daughter, Mia Dodson; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bonnie and Charlie Dodson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Brandie and John Millar; nieces, Kherington Millar, Whitaker Millar, Jayme Marston and Bobbi Breeden and eight sisters of the heart, Donna Perry, Gretchen Murphy, Ericka Twigg, Holly Henry, Susie Wickham, Pam Perry, Tracy Bowers and Kristy Steadman.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Warren County, 1245 Progress Drive, Front Royal, Virginia 22630.
