Accident on Happy Creek Road

On September 9th, at 10 A.M., a green dodge pickup heading down Happy Creek Road towards town spontaneously erupted in flame. Luckily the Front Royal Vol Fire Department arrived at the scene quick enough to extinguish the truck. No one was seriously hurt in the incident.

The cause of the fire is still unknown; however it is suspected that the engine overheated in some capacity. As of now, Happy Creek’s route into town is shut down as Firefighters and Policemen deal with the scene. Detour routes are being set up in the meantime, but the road should be clear by this afternoon.
