On August 3rd, the Front Royal/Warren County Chamber of Commerce cut the ribbon on the new event space at Back Room Brewery on Reliance Road.
Royal Examiner’s camera was there, and after the ribbon cutting, we spoke to owner Billie Clifton and Master Brewer Darren Queen:
The new facility is an Amish built pole barn with 10,000 square feet of space to house the brewery expansion (more tanks), a huge taproom capable of accommodating 250 or more guests. It will also have a large catering kitchen, plenty of restrooms, a spacious board room and a 2,000 square foot loft.

The Back Room Brewery invites weddings, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners and the bride’s high tea. It is also a great venue for class reunions, family gatherings, employee outings, birthday parties and other social events.

Backroom Brewery is a boutique farm brewery nestled in the heart of the Shenandoah River Valley. It began as a herb farm, growing culinary and medicinal herbs for the garden center trade.
In 2013 it began the process of creating an ordinance in Warren County to accommodate farm breweries. By late spring, the process was complete and Backroom Brewery became the first farm brewery in the Northern Shenandoah Valley.
The also host 3 annual events: The Virginia Herb Festival (June), BRB Hop Harvest Party (August) and BRB Holiday Market (November).
All are invited to come and drink their beer, eat, play and spend some time.
