On June 1, 2024, the Front Royal Women’s Resource Center (FRWRC) appointed Liz Coffey as its new Director. A Virginia native with over 25 years of experience in supporting STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) businesses, event coordination, and program development, Liz Coffey brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her new role.

Liz’s journey began at a local computer store, where her enthusiasm for technology and events took root. She then launched a computer printer and copier repair business, which evolved into the Conquest Technologies & Learning Center. This center provided students with hands-on job experience in STEM and robotics. She owns and operates Petty Betty Treats, an event planning business that produces locally made handcrafted treats.

“We are thrilled to name Liz Coffey our new Director,” said Suzi Gillette, FRWRC President. “In addition to her extensive professional experience, including business management, technology implementation, entrepreneurship, and creative event planning, Liz is also a former FRWRC Dare to Dream Grant recipient (2023). She’s the perfect face for the organization, offering a powerful example of how FRWRC empowers local women through diverse networking opportunities, engaging programming, and grants that support professional and educational dreams.”

Liz has also served as the Executive Assistant for the FRWRC for the past year and continues to volunteer on the Dare to Dream Grant and Event Committee.

“I am excited to take on this new role as Director of the FRWRC,” said Liz Coffey. “I look forward to building on the success and visions of my predecessors and growing and introducing the mission of FRWRC to more local women and supporters.”

Barbara Way, who previously held the position of Executive Director for five years and served the organization for over a decade, has paved a strong path for Liz. The organization continues to thrive with the support of long-time members and founders who actively contribute through the Board, committees, and financial support.
