Joyce Grove Smeltzer, 88, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, at St. Anne’s Loving Arms in Warren County.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 19, at 11:00 a.m. at Prospect Hill Cemetery with Pastor Cecil Jones officiating.
Mrs. Smeltzer was born February 11, 1938, in Front Royal, Virginia, a daughter of the late George Newton and Velma Ione Baggarly Grove.
She was married to the late Billy L. Smeltzer.
She retired after many dedicated years with the Town of Front Royal.
Surviving are two sons, Troy S. Smeltzer and wife Tina, and Mark L. Smeltzer and wife Michelle, all of Front Royal; and two grandchildren, Matthew Smeltzer (Amy) and Dakota Smeltzer Santana and husband David.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 19 from10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home.
