There are also cheer squads in the same age groups. This season’s cheer competition was held Sunday, Nov. 11 at Warren County High School. FRYFL freshman cheer squad placed 3rd at the competition.

Front Royals Juniors and Freshman teams both had an  8-0 record going into the championship game. 31 players won the championship with an 8-6 win over Woodstock. They were coached by head coach Perry Leach and coaches Jeff Stephen’s, Mike Kerns, Brandon Roberts, John Taylor, JJ Sutphin and John Shifflett.

Freshman championship game was won by the 20 players on the team, 6-0 over Woodstock. Their coaches are Zack Jackson, head coach  and coaches Ronnie Heflin and Gordon Shell.

Front Royal’s Senior division coached by Cory Gray, Joe Mills, Ryan Burks and Tyler Jenkins, finished their season with a 6-2 record. They had a defensive battle and came up short in the second round of playoffs.
