Skyline Sports Bar Celebrates Grand Opening in Front Royal

The community came together this week to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for Skyline Sports Bar, a brand-new dining and entertainment spot located at 40 Riverton Commons Plaza, Suite 40.

Founded in 2024, Skyline Sports Bar is more than just a restaurant—it’s the result of a shared dream and a lot of hard work. Owners Mandeep Kaur, Mandat Singh, and Franklin Castillo welcomed friends, family, and neighbors to their official opening, marking the start of a new chapter in local dining and nightlife.

General Manager Elena Beleniuc kicked off the celebration, welcoming guests and introducing special visitors from the community. Sheriff Crystal Cline and Major Jason Winner from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office were among those who came to show their support.

“This has been a long journey,” said Mandeep Kaur, one of the owners during the ceremony. “We had our ups and downs, but we’re finally here—and we think this will be a great addition to the county.”

The ribbon-cutting moment brought cheers and applause as the crowd counted down together. “Three, two, one—cut!” shouted guests, marking the official launch of the new business.

For the owners, Skyline Sports Bar represents more than just a restaurant. It’s a symbol of their commitment to community and the pursuit of the American dream.

“We both had a dream,” said Castillo. “We met, talked about opening a business, and kept searching for the right place. Then one day, we found this spot, and everything came together.”

After signing the lease, the team spent nine months remodeling the space, which previously housed a Chinese buffet. Now, it features a stylish bar, plenty of seating, large TV screens for sports fans, and a welcoming atmosphere.

The owners say they drew inspiration from big-name restaurants like TGI Fridays and Buffalo Wild Wings but added their own personal flair. The menu includes traditional bar favorites such as steaks, salmon, pasta, and more. The bar is fully stocked, and the restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m. to midnight and until 2 a.m. on weekends.

Skyline Sports Bar also offers something more than good food—it’s designed to be a hub for entertainment and local talent. Weekly events include:

  • Trivia Tuesdays
  • Open Mic Wednesdays
  • Bingo Thursdays (soon transitioning to Karaoke Nights)
  • Live Music Fridays
  • DJ Saturdays
  • Industry Sundays, dedicated to service workers and local artists

“We wanted to build a place where people don’t have to drive to Northern Virginia for a fun night out,” said Castillo. “Good food, good entertainment—people deserve that right here at home.”

The team also plans to add an outdoor patio soon, creating even more space for guests to enjoy meals and music.

One of the most heartwarming parts of the grand opening was hearing about their goal to support others through this venture. “We’re doing this for the community,” said Castillo. “We want to help others, create jobs, and make this town a better place to live.”

The open mic nights have already become a favorite among local performers to showcase their talents. “When they come here, they say thank you for giving them a space,” said the owners. “That means a lot to us.”

As the music played and guests enjoyed the new space, it was clear Skyline Sports Bar is already making a strong impression. With its mix of flavor, fun, and community spirit, it’s set to become a favorite gathering place in Front Royal.
