4th Annual YES Conference at Shenandoah University on October 15th

Published

on

The 2024 YES Conference (Youth Empowered for Success) will take place on Tuesday, October 15th, at the Brandt Student Center on Shenandoah University’s campus. From 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, juniors and seniors from across the Shenandoah Valley will gather to gain essential skills and resources to help them excel in their personal lives, academics, and future careers.

This year marks the 4th annual YES Conference, and the theme, “Am I A Leader?!?,” promises to engage and inspire students through dynamic speaker presentations and interactive workshops. The conference is designed to empower young people, helping them recognize their potential to lead and succeed in various aspects of life.

What’s in Store

Participants will benefit from a full day of activities to develop their leadership qualities and provide them with the tools they need for success. The event will feature multiple speakers who will share their insights and experiences, offering practical advice that students can apply to their daily lives and future endeavors. Workshops will focus on various topics, including personal development, academic achievement, and professional growth.

In addition to the valuable learning opportunities, students will also have the chance to tour Shenandoah University’s beautiful campus. This tour offers a glimpse into college life and provides a great opportunity for those considering furthering their education at the university level.

Why Attend?

The YES Conference is not just about learning; it’s also about building connections and having fun. The event is an official swap day for public school students in Winchester and Warren County, meaning they can attend without missing out on their regular school day. This is made possible through the support of the local superintendents, who highlight the conference’s importance and value.

The $25 registration fee includes a boxed breakfast and lunch, ensuring that participants are well-fed and ready to engage throughout the day. However, space is limited to just 250 seats, so early registration is strongly encouraged to secure a spot.

How to Register

Registration for the 2024 YES Conference is open until October 8th. Interested students can sign up online at Reaching Out Now. With a focus on leadership and personal growth, this event is a fantastic opportunity for juniors and seniors to take a significant step toward their future success.

Don’t miss out on this exciting and enriching experience!
