Selah Theatre Project, in partnership with Laurel Ridge Community College, is thrilled to announce the upcoming production of “All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten,” a heartwarming and insightful theatrical experience based on Robert Fulghum’s beloved book. Conceived and adapted by the talented Ernest Zulia and David Caldwell, this adaptation promises to bring to life the timeless lessons and beautiful stories that have captured the hearts of readers worldwide. Fulghum’s insightful work will resonate with audiences of all ages, evoking memories of the precious lessons from kindergarten.

The production will run from March 15-17 and March 22-24 at the William H. McCoy Theatre on the Laurel Ridge Community College Middletown Campus. Additionally, a dinner performance is scheduled for March 23 in honor of Larry Lamar Yates at the Selah Theatre Project’s annual The Work Continues Scholarship Dinner.

Through the brilliant storytelling of a blended cast of teens and seasoned actors, the stage comes alive with heartfelt moments and universal truths that resonate with audiences from all walks of life. The cast features: Pan Beach, Silvia Carnell, Reagan Costello, Pamela Foster, Avery Hammond, Peter Hibl, Eric Ibarra, Danielle Juratovac, Jacob Pugh, Lyla Samet, Joanna Schilling, and Oliver Varela. They bring laughter that echoes through the theater to the poignant moments that tug at your heartstrings, renewing a sense of wonder and appreciation for life’s little joys.

This is the second production of this theatrical piece at Selah Theatre Project. “This show’s like a rerun we can’t get enough of! Its magic never gets old, reminding us to go back to basics. Our inner kiddo isn’t just about nostalgia; it’s a gold mine of wisdom for our everyday hustle. This show embodies the spirit of the Selah Theatre Project, nudging us all to hit pause on our lives for a moment and ponder,” says director LaTasha Do’zia.

Not only is this show a great family play, it is also a benefit for the Warren County and Skyline Middle Schools’ Choir Fund. “Making the arts thrive in the Valley is our main objective. We urge young people to participate without concerns about financial obstacles. The arts should be within everyone’s reach,” Do’zia declares. Musical coordination was overseen by Amber Shayeb, who serves as the choir teacher at both Warren County schools. Shayeb expressed, “We are grateful for Selah Theatre Project’s commitment to the community beyond its four walls”. The funds collected for the choir fund provide additional opportunities to introduce choir activities to the students, including participation in districts, acquiring concert attire, going on field trips, and hosting guest artists.

So, mark your calendars and get ready to be swept away by the charm and wisdom of “All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten.” This theatrical gem is a celebration of the human spirit and a gentle reminder that the most important lessons in life are often the simplest. Join us for an evening of inspiration, laughter, and reflection as we rediscover the timeless beauty of Fulghum’s words brought to life on stage.

Selah Theatre Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing quality theatre to the community. By attending the show, you’ll be supporting the theatre’s mission and helping to ensure that the arts remain vibrant in our community.
