Baseball returns to Bing Crosby Stadium Friday night as the Front Royal Cardinals host the New Market Rebels, June 12 at 7 p.m. in an early-season Valley Baseball League matchup.

Fans are expected to fill the stands as the Cardinals continue their summer campaign under the lights in Front Royal. The game marks another chance for local supporters to see some of the region’s top college baseball talent compete during the league’s busy summer schedule.

The Valley Baseball League has long been a summer tradition across the Shenandoah Valley, bringing together college players from around the country to sharpen their skills and entertain hometown crowds. Front Royal’s Cardinals remain one of the league’s well-known franchises, drawing loyal fans each season to Bing Crosby Stadium.

Friday’s matchup against the Rebels gives the Cardinals an opportunity to build momentum early in the season. New Market has traditionally been a competitive club, and games between the two teams often bring energetic crowds and strong play on both sides of the field.

Fans attending the game are encouraged to arrive early, grab concessions, and enjoy a full evening of baseball in a family-friendly atmosphere. Stadium officials are also encouraging the community to wear Cardinals colors and help create a strong home-field advantage.

For those unable to attend in person, the game will also be available to watch live online through the Royal Examiner. The livestream allows fans to follow the action from home while continuing to support the local team throughout the summer season.

First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, June 12, at Bing Crosby Stadium in Front Royal.
