Niles Clinton Tyree (1945 – 2024)
Niles Clinton Tyree, 78, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away at his home on Friday, July 5, 2024.
Later, a memorial service will be held at Bethel United Methodist Church, 49 Kendrick Ford Rd, Front Royal, with Pastor Suzanne Spencer officiating.
Mr. Tyree was born in Front Royal on November 23, 1945, to the late Earl and Mary Crutchfield Tyree. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Mangum and Brenda Henry. He was a meat cutter for Safeway Foods for over thirty years, a member of UFCW Local 400, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a member of American Legion Post 53 in Front Royal. He enjoyed being on the go, playing music with his friends, tending to his chickens, and gardening endeavors.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Mary Ruth Vermillion Tyree; son, Jason Tyree (Katrina); daughter, Angela Gouda (George); brother, Gary Tyree; two granddaughters, Ginger and Bridget Gouda; grandson, Zachary Shafer; uncle, John Crutchfield; brothers-in-law, Jerry Henry and George Mangum; nieces, Tanya, Shamé and Gail; nephews, Clifton, Nathan and Daniel and extended family, Dennis Pavlick and Carol Kendrix.
In place of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
