Governor’s Race Too Close to Call

Approximately 10 days ago, a poll came out stating that Abigail Spanberger had a 17% lead over the current Lt. Governor. Thus, the race was already over, and we Republicans should give up and accept our beating this coming November. I have some bad news for everyone, but this race is far from over, and the truth is no one knows who will win or lose this November.

First, while the poll says it surveyed 658 voters, this poll was not of likely voters. In fact, if you read the press release from Roanoke College, you’ll clearly see they don’t say if this was a poll of adult Virginians, registered voters, or likely voters.

Second, this poll shows a rather unusual dip in favorability for Governor Glenn Youngkin.  Yes, the GOP has taken something of a hit thanks to an advisor from Mr. Youngkin’s Political Action Committee (PAC).  So has Governor Youngkin.  But the fact is that the current controversy regarding the Lt. Governor’s candidate will likely not be on everyone’s mind come November.  In August of 2021, former Governor Terry McAuliffe had an 8% lead going into the home stretch of the Governor’s race.  Then Mr. McAuliffe reminded everyone that Democrats really did not think that parents had a say in their child’s education.  The rest is history.  Poll done by Roanoke College.

Third, let’s look at the history of polling.  In 1988, after the Democrat convention, Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis had a lead of approximately 17 points that summer.  Unless I’m very wrong, then Vice President George H W Bush won the 1988 election just a few months later.  The fact is that polling so far out from an election means very little.  We do not yet know what the final issue will be that drives voters to the polls this November.  Poll was done by Newsweek July 21-221988.

The fact is that this election is up for grabs.  And once voters find out what a radical leftist Abigail Spanberger is and that Winsome Sears is a conservative who has been out there fighting for our values these past 4 years, voters should send the former US Marine Winsome Sears into the Governor’s mansion.  If you want biological males beating your daughters, then vote for Abigail Spanberger.  If you want abortion up and even after birth, then vote for Democrats.  If you want the type of vehicle you drive to be determined from California, then vote for Abigail Spanberger.

If you love your daughters (and sons), then vote for Winsome Sears.  If you like lower taxes and value life, liberty, and limited government, vote for Team GOP this November.  If you Back the Blue, you’ll be voting for Attorney General Jason Miyares this November.  If you want lawfare and are against your local police departments, then vote for Democrats.  It’s that simple.
