Warren County Breaks Ground on Countywide Fiber Broadband Network

High-speed internet is moving one step closer to becoming a reality for every home and business in Warren County. On Friday, November 21, local officials and project partners gathered at Rockland Park to mark the start of construction on a new fiber-to-the-home broadband network that will extend service to areas currently without reliable internet access.

The project is a public-private partnership between Warren County, All Points Broadband, and the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) through its Virginia Telecommunications Initiative (VATI). The initiative provides funding for broadband infrastructure in underserved regions, helping to expand access to essential internet services.

The groundbreaking ceremony featured remarks from project leaders, including representatives from All Points Broadband and members of the Warren County Board of Supervisors. With construction underway, service is expected to roll out in phases over the coming months.

Once complete, the network will offer high-speed fiber-optic internet, delivering significantly faster and more reliable connectivity than existing DSL or satellite options. All Points Broadband is leading the infrastructure build.
