Front Royal’s Monthly Through November ‘Vintage Market’ Event Attracts Shoppers Despite Light Rain Intrusion
On Saturday, June 6, the Gazebo-anchored Town Park at the intersection of East Main and Chester Streets in Historic Downtown Front Royal hosted the “Front Royal Vintage Market” event. As reported on the Town of Front Royal website: “Vintage Market will offer vintage and secondhand shopping with an assortment of clothing, jewelry, housewares and decor, books, media, to so much more.”
The Town website also reported that the Vintage Market will take place on the first Saturday of each month, May through November 2026. That means if you haven’t been there yet, you’ve missed two of the projected seven Vintage Markets.
The well-attended June event ran from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. despite a passing rain shower that quickly turned into a mild sprinkle, which went on and off for some time, as seen in the picture below of umbrellas unfurling.
Other shoppers toughed it out or did some quick shopping/squeezing under various vendor tents. Wonder if any of those vendors were selling umbrellas. If so, it could have been a hot item off the shelves for a while. In case you missed it, below is the Examiner’s photographic accounting of the June event, come rain or shine:

Vendor tents served as pretty good group umbrellas. And the rain has already started to lighten up – we promise.

Let’s see if we can find some rain caps and shirts in there.

And we’ll close with these ‘Vintage Market’ signs and a reminder of every first Saturday through November.
