Hilda Foster Cornwell (1934 – 2026)
Hilda Foster Cornwell, 92, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Warren Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 3 PM at Panorama Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Marc Roberson officiating.
Mrs. Cornwell was born on March 31, 1934, in Front Royal to the late George Sr. and Kate Sealock Foster. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Luther E. Cornwell; brother, George “Buddy” Foster Jr.; and four sisters, MaryLou Greenwood, Marie “Dickie” Estes, Evelyn “Sager” Parker, and Fannie Elizabeth “Nook” Randall. She was a longtime member of Riverton United Methodist Church, where she served on the bereavement committee.
Hilda is survived by her son, Stephen Cornwell; her daughter, Lisa Powell (Bill); her grandchildren, Kayla, Brooke, Brittany, Kristen, and Matthew; and her great-grandchildren, Miley, Everlee, Lane, and Harper.
