Top tips for getting your hair done for an event

Published

on

If you’re attending a big event this season, you probably want to get your hair done by a professional. Here are some tips for working with a hairstylist to get the look you want.

• Be realistic. Show your hairdresser examples of styles you like and listen to their advice. If the look won’t work, they’ll suggest alternatives.

• Book a trial. It’s a good idea to try your style a week or two before the event. This’ll help you avoid any unpleasant surprises on the big day.

• Don’t wash your hair. Your hair will hold the style better if it’s not squeaky clean.

• Dress appropriately. Be comfortable, and make sure your top won’t ruin your hair when you change later. Wearing a button-down shirt is highly recommended.

Finally, if your event is taking place at a busy time of year and you want to guarantee a spot with your preferred stylist, be sure to book your appointment ahead of time.
