Brown Bag Luncheon – The Power of 15 Minutes

UPDATE: Due to the possibility of inclement weather tomorrow the January Brown Bag Luncheon has been postponed until February 21st.

Believe it or not, you have 168 opportunities every week to make this a reality and finally get to those things you’ve been wishing you had time for! Crystel Lynn and Dr. Sherri Michelle, National Speakers and best-selling authors, will be there to share this life-changing secret!

Held the third Wednesday of every month, this complimentary educational lunch series offers a wide variety of topics presented by Chamber member experts. Bring your lunch and enjoy this informative presentation. Luncheons begin at 11:30 a.m. with lunch and a networking session, speaker begins at noon and questions & answers at 12:45 until 1 p.m.

Front Royal’s Ledo Pizza: A Story of Growth, Community, and Delicious Pizza

In a ceremony filled with community spirit, the Front Royal/Warren County Chamber of Commerce commemorated a significant milestone for one of its most cherished local businesses, Ledo Pizza. The event was not just a celebration of Ledo Pizza’s success but also a testament to the strength and unity of the local business community.

Niki Foster-Cales, the chamber’s Executive Director, and Byron Biggs, the Chamber of Commerce Board Chairman, enthusiastically and gracefully spearheaded the ceremony. They welcomed Grace Timmerman, the proud owner of Ledo Pizza in Front Royal, and together, they shared a moment of pride and joy that resonated with everyone present.

Grace Timmerman, who has been at the helm of Ledo Pizza for five years, shared her journey from starting as a waitress in 2012 to becoming the manager and eventually owning her own location. “It’s like the American dream,” she remarked, acknowledging the support and partnership of her colleague Tony, who played a crucial role in her path to sole ownership and success.

Under Timmerman’s stewardship, Ledo Pizza has become a staple of the Front Royal community, known for its commitment to quality, community involvement, and never cutting corners—both figuratively and literally. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was lively, with a countdown leading to the symbolic snipping of the ribbon, marking a new chapter for Timmerman and Ledo Pizza.

Looking ahead, Timmerman expressed her desire to deepen community ties further, particularly with local schools and sports teams. Through sponsorships and support, she aims to give back to the community that has embraced her business so warmly.

This celebration underscores the importance of local businesses in shaping the character and economy of Front Royal. Niki Foster-Cales, Executive Director of the Front Royal/Warren County Chamber of Commerce, opened the ceremony with a warm welcome to Stephen and Emily Kuplack, the passionate duo behind Arbor Ridge Builders. Their arrival marks a significant step for the local economy, emphasizing the community’s commitment to supporting small businesses and fostering a nurturing environment for entrepreneurs.

Herb Melrath, the Chamber’s Business Development Committee Chair, extended his congratulations, highlighting the importance of small businesses in the community. In a vibrant ceremony, the Front Royal/Warren County Chamber of Commerce, led by Executive Director Nike Foster Cales, welcomed a business to its new location in the heart of the town. Penny Lane Hair Co, located at 413 E Main St, opened its doors amidst the cheers and support of the local community, including Mayor Lori Cockrell and Supervisor Walt Mabe.

The air was filled with excitement as Mallory Deinert, the owner of Penny Lane Hair Co, was greeted with warm applause and cheers from a crowd that included Chamber members, friends, and representatives from various local businesses. The event not only marked a new business opening but also symbolized the ongoing revitalization and diversification of Main Street’s business landscape.

Mayor Lori Cockrell expressed her enthusiasm, reflecting on the uniqueness of each ribbon-cutting event she has attended since joining the council and becoming mayor. “Each opening brings something new to our community, and we’re thrilled to support them all,” she remarked. Play Favorites, a cherished local toy store in Front Royal celebrated its grand re-opening under new ownership. The event was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by community leaders and enthusiastic locals.

Nike Foster Cales, Executive Director of the Front Royal/Warren County Chamber of Commerce, opened the ceremony, expressing excitement about the store’s future under the stewardship of Brett and Hannah Bement. Josh Ingram, a Town Council member, emphasized the store’s unique role in the community, highlighting its appeal to kids and adults.

Warren County Supervisor Walt Mabe praised Play Favorites for its blend of educational and fun offerings. The new owners, Brett and Hannah, shared their journey to acquiring the store, driven by a passion for preserving a local toy store in their community.

In an interview with publisher Mike McCool, Brett Bement discussed their unexpected journey into the board game business. Hannah Beeman, a teacher and local craftsman, continues her educational role while contributing to the store’s new look and product offerings.

Play Favorites stands out for its welcoming atmosphere and community engagement. The store offers game nights, collaborates with local game designers, and maintains a focus on educational toys. Local Entrepreneur Taylor Jones Brings Unique Vintage Style to Front Royal with Fleetwood Vintage

Front Royal, known for its vibrant community and picturesque streets, has added a new gem to its Main Street – Fleetwood Vintage. This new business, inaugurated amidst supportive cheers and a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, marks a significant addition to the town’s retail landscape. Taylor Jones, a local entrepreneur and the brains behind Fleetwood Vintage brings her unique vision of vintage fashion to the heart of Front Royal.

The opening ceremony saw key community figures, including Walt Mabe from the Warren County Board of Supervisors and Melissa DeDomenico-Payne, a Front Royal Town Council member, expressing their excitement. “It’s all part of living the Vintage life and it being exactly what we would like it to be,” said Mabe, encapsulating the town’s enthusiasm for the new venture. DeDomenico-Payne added, “I’m really pleased to have your youthful energy here to bring back important things,” highlighting the fusion of nostalgia and modernity that Fleetwood Vintage promises.

Byron Briggs, President of the Front Royal/Warren County Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the importance of supporting small businesses like Fleetwood Vintage. He pointed out the beneficial ripple effect that spending in local businesses has on the community.

The star of the event, Taylor Jones, expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support from her family, friends, and the community. “I couldn’t have done it without my mom, my friends, my family, and my community,” she said, reflecting on her journey to becoming a business owner at the young age of 25.

Jones, a native of Front Royal and a graduate of Skyline High School, has always had a flair for the ‘out there’ style, which she brings to her store. She credits her love for funky patterns, colors, and particularly velvet, as the inspiration behind her business. Fleetwood Vintage, named after her admiration for Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks, promises to be a haven for those who love unique and vintage fashion.

Located at 407 East Main Street, right across from the Visitor Center, Fleetwood Vintage is set to be a new favorite spot for locals and visitors alike. With its diverse range of funky vintage items, the store is not just a business but a reflection of Jones’ passion and the town’s welcoming spirit.
