James I. “Jim” “Bubba” Benjamin Jr. (1942 – 2026)

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 6 to 8 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal.

Mr. Benjamin was born on March 2, 1942, in Glenn Dale, Maryland, to the late James Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Carroll Benjamin.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Beverly M. Benjamin; two sons, James P. Benjamin and Kevin M. Benjamin; brother, John Benjamin; and two sisters, Judith Salazaar and Joanne Stebbins.  He retired from the United States Postal Service and served in the United States Navy.  He volunteered for C-Cap in Front Royal for the last eleven years and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Survivors include his two sons, Keith M. Benjamin (his late wife, Cherri) and Kenneth W. Benjamin (Patricia); daughter, Angela B. Ramsey (Robert); two brothers, Joseph Benjamin and Jeremiah Benjamin; three sisters, Jean Ridley, Joyce Reedy and Janice Basch; sister-in-law, Marie Benjamin; five grandchildren; one great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.
