Laurel Ridge Community College Brings Back Spring Follies with a Message of Happiness

Published

on

Laurel Ridge Community College is once again hosting its much-anticipated Spring Follies, inviting the community to participate in a celebration of talent, laughter, and joy. This year, the Follies are themed “Be Happy,” setting the stage for a variety of performances that promise to entertain audiences of all ages. The college is calling on performers to join the festivities, whether they sing, play music, act in skits, or have other talents to share.

The Spring Follies will take place on the weekend of April 13th and 14th, continuing a long-standing tradition at Laurel Ridge that brings together students, faculty, and the broader community for a showcase of creativity and fun. Before the curtains rise in April, a kick-off meeting is scheduled for Sunday, February 25th, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Cornerstone Hall, Room 300. This meeting is an opportunity for interested performers to learn more about the event, meet the Follies team, and find out how they can contribute to this year’s show.

Whether you’re a seasoned performer or someone looking to try something new, the Spring Follies team is eager to welcome you. The event is a fantastic way to showcase your talents, make new friends, and be part of a cherished tradition that brightens the community’s spirit. If you’re unable to attend the kick-off meeting but still wish to participate, don’t worry—prospective performers can reach out via email at thespringfollies@gmail.com to express their interest and get involved.

The “Be Happy” theme for this year’s Follies is more than just a motif; it’s a reminder of the joy and camaraderie that the arts can bring into our lives. As performers take the stage in April, they’ll not only be showcasing their abilities but also spreading happiness and positivity through their art. It’s an invitation to the community to come together, enjoy the performances, and celebrate the talent that Laurel Ridge has to offer.

Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this joyful and entertaining tradition. Mark your calendars for the kick-off meeting and the performances in April, and get ready to “Be Happy” with the Laurel Ridge Community College Spring Follies.
