The students of the former John S. Mosby Academy of Front Royal (1959-1969) recently visited the Warren Historical Society (WHS) to present their yearbooks and other school materials to the Laura Virginia Hale Archives, which are a part of the WHS.

On behalf of the students of the Mosby Academy, Brenda Elsea-Ramey also presented Executive Director of the Heritage Society, Connie Marshner, with a donation of $700. Marshner thanked the students for recognizing their role in history and helping to preserve it by the donation of Mosby Academy materials.

Marshner noted that the Society is also seeking to raise funds by offering a “Purchase of the Day” on its 2019 Calendar. Anyone can buy a day for $20 to surprise a sweetheart on a birthday or anniversary, recognize a community servant, or even announce a special event. Anyone interested should contact the Warren Heritage Society Business Manager right away at 540-636-1446. Some advertising space is also still available.
The Warren Heritage Society is located at 101 Chester Street in Front Royal. Winter hours are currently in effect, and the Society is open 9-4 on weekdays. The last tour of the historic buildings begins at 3:00 p.m.
