Rosie “Marie” Seekford (1941 – 2025)

Rosie “Marie” Seekford, 83, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away at her home on Sunday, March 16, 2025.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, with Sammy Campbell officiating.  Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Front Royal.

Mrs. Seekford was born on August 25, 1941, in Chester Gap, Virginia, to the late Snowden and Gurnie Shifflet Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Seekford; three sisters; and four brothers. She worked for Royal Haven Nursing Home for 37 years, and prior to that, she worked for Front Royal Garment.

Survivors include her three daughters, Tammy See (Curtis), Donna Ferguson (James), and Nicole Clatterbuck (Shane); two stepdaughters, Kelly Butler (Bobby) and Tina Seekford; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bobby Butler, Cameron Tussing, Aaron Davis, Melissa Hardman, Steve Wright, and Kenneth Newman Jr. will be the pallbearers.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
