Rotary Clubs Sponsor Free Game Night as Town Hosts Fireworks: Front Royal Cardinals vs Strasburg Express – July 3rd

Baseball, fireworks, and free fun are coming to Bing Crosby Stadium this Thursday, July 3, as the Front Royal Cardinals face off against the Strasburg Express for a special holiday celebration you won’t want to miss.

The Valley League Baseball game begins at 7:00 p.m., with gates opening at 6:00 p.m. Fans can catch the action with live-stream coverage beginning at 5:45 p.m. on the Royal Examiner. Admission is completely free, thanks to sponsorship from the Rotary Clubs of Front Royal and Warren County.

Once the final out is called, the sky above Front Royal will light up with the Royal Independence Fireworks Show, provided by the Town of Front Royal. Unlike smaller displays, this show features large aerial shells designed to be visible far beyond the stadium, and you don’t need to be inside the park to enjoy it.

That said, arriving early is still a good idea. With free admission, a prime Valley League matchup, and one of the area’s biggest fireworks displays of the summer, a full house is expected.

The game and fireworks offer an ideal way to kick off your Fourth of July weekend with family, friends, and community spirit. Bring a lawn chair, enjoy ballpark snacks, and soak in a night of small-town summer tradition.

Quick Details:

  • 🗓 Date: Thursday, July 3, 2025
  • ⚾ Teams: Front Royal Cardinals vs. Strasburg Express
  • 🕕 Gates Open: 6:00 p.m.
  • 🕖 First Pitch: 7:00 p.m.
  • 🎟 Admission: FREE (sponsored by Rotary Clubs of Front Royal & Warren County)
  • 🎆 Fireworks: Start after the game (exact time varies)

The Town of Front Royal reminds attendees that the fireworks start time is fluid, depending on the game’s ending. The show will begin shortly after the conclusion of the final inning, whether that’s 9 p.m. or closer to 10.

For those outside the park, many nearby areas offer excellent views of the high aerial fireworks, so feel free to spread out safely and enjoy from afar if stadium seating fills up.

Make plans now to join in a Front Royal favorite: a night of baseball, community, and fireworks that’s fun for all ages.
