Learn all about the upcoming fundraiser this weekend at Samuels Public Library with Nicki Lynch​ and Beth Medved Waller​.  The theme this year is “Around the World in 80 Days.” Be prepared to taste beer, wine and foods from around the world, as well as have a chance to win a magnificent variety of prizes! Travel through this event stamping your passport as you go!  Be sure to watch the video all the way through to get a special peek at what the Friends of the Library are up to…

GO AROUND THE WORLD WITH TASTE FOR BOOKS  

“Samuels Library’s Annual Fundraiser, A Taste for Books, will be held on Saturday, April 29th from 6 – 8:30 p.m. This year’s event is inspired by Jules Verne’s Around the World in 80 Days.

Race around the world dreaming of Phileas Fogg and his many adventures. Step back in time to the late 1800s and dress in the period or the native garb of these exotic lands. Will you come by train or steamship, ride an elephant, or float in a hot air balloon? Travel from continent to continent and savor traditional foods from 20 countries. Be sure to get your passport stamped along the way to be eligible for the grand prize drawing at the end of the evening.”

Please note: In preparation for the fundraiser, Samuels Library will be closed on Saturday, April 29th.
