Sanders “Ray” Rowe (1940 – 2026)

Sanders “Ray” Rowe, 85, of Middletown, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Magnolia at Front Royal.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 2 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, Virginia, with Pastor Doug Bowers officiating.  Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Rowe was born on December 31, 1940, in Front Royal to the late Sanders and Marie Robinson Rowe.  He was also preceded in death by his son, Kenneth John Kaffine, and his grandmother, Valley Virginia Robinson.  He was a life member of the Front Royal Moose Lodge #829, a member of the National Rifle Association, and the Carpenter’s Millwright Union.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Sharon A. Rowe, six daughters, Diana Rae Odgers (Robert), Virginia Rae “Ginger” Martuara (Glenn), Tina Marie Frame (Steve), Carole Ann Redmond, Jennifer McFarland (James) and Jamie Welsh (Kevin); 14 grandchildren, Lauren, Lacey, Jessica, Angela, Tiffany, Stephanie, Joshua, Abigail, Caitlin, Chelsey, Michaela, Abigail Grace, Hunter and Courtney; 29 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Frame, Tyler Grigsby, Ethan Grigsby, Bob Odgers, Jeff McFarland, Kevin Welsh, and Trent Jenkins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Diana Odgers, Ginger Martuara, Tina Frame, Carole Redmond, Jennifer McFarland, Jamie Welsh, Steve Frame, Jacob King, and Charles Mongan Jr.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Liberty Baptist Church, 1400 Fairfax Pike, Stephens City, Virginia 22655; the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, Maryland 21741; or Magnolia at Front Royal Memory Care, 106 Westminster Drive, Front Royal, Virginia 22630.
