Delores Oates Announces Re-Election Campaign for 2025

Delores Oates, the Delegate representing Virginia’s 31st District, has officially launched her re-election campaign for the Virginia House of Delegates in 2025. Oates, who won her seat in 2023, serves a district that includes Warren, Clarke, and eastern Frederick Counties.

In her announcement, Oates emphasized her commitment to upholding conservative values and tackling pressing issues facing Virginians. “Together with Governor Youngkin, we’ve worked to protect Virginia from policies that would undermine the values of our community. But there’s still work to do,” Oates said, highlighting her dedication to policies that bolster families, education, and the economy.

Her campaign will focus on reducing taxes, limiting government overreach, and ensuring parents are central to their children’s education. Oates also spoke strongly against progressive proposals, such as a constitutional amendment that would protect abortion rights in Virginia. She framed the 2025 election as a pivotal moment for the state, saying, “Today’s Democrats are too far left for Virginia.”

Oates linked national issues such as inflation, drug crises, and rising costs of living to progressive policies, urging voters to support Republican leadership to prevent further harm.

The campaign message centered on preserving traditional values, addressing economic challenges, and safeguarding women and children from “radical ideologies.” Oates appealed to voters for their support, saying, “We must work together to build a Virginia where our families will thrive.”

As the race unfolds, Oates is expected to continue advocating for the policies and values that defined her first term in office.
