on

Twenty-eight area nonprofit organizations will receive 2019 grants totaling over $44,000 when the Community Foundation of the Northern Shenandoah Valley holds its annual Donor Thank You and Grant Awards luncheon on September 25, at noon, at the Shenandoah Lodge in Lake Frederick, VA.

These grants will be awarded from a number of sources, including the Cochran Family Youth Fund, the Paul and Martha Rees Fund and the Gerald and Paula McNichols Family Foundation. The Foundation will also be updating donors on the total contributions of $273,322 that have been made to the community from a variety of sources.

Members of the media will be able to greet the recipients at the conclusion of the event at 1:00 pm.

Founded in 2001, the Community Foundation of the Northern Shenandoah Valley connects philanthropic individuals and organizations with nonprofits in the City of Winchester and the counties of Clarke, Frederick and Warren. The Foundation has returned more than $1.3 million to the community in the form of grants, scholarships, and pass through funds. Additionally, the CFNSV supports annual campaigns like the Chain of Checks and Coats for Kids, helping to provide more than $500k in funding to the community since 2013.
