FRONT ROYAL  – The Front Royal Women’s Resource Center (FRWRC) is delighted to host author Melanie Forde at the monthly WomanGathering event Thursday, April 20 at the Open House Meet in the Middle meeting room at 213 East Main Street.  The event is slated to be held from 5:30 p.m.–7:30. p.m. and is open to the public.

Ms. Forde, a West Virginia resident, has published two books, Hillwilla and On the Hillwilla Road, and will soon publish the third book in the trilogy.  Both books showcase the vicissitudes of life in Appalachia, as the main character navigates life as a transplanted, widowed Bostonian living on a southeastern West Virginia farm.   She will offer readings from her books during the event.

Books will be available for sale following the event at a lightly discounted price.  Forde plans to donate a generous portion of the proceeds to FRWRC, according to Eka Kapitois, a  spokesperson for the group.
