Courtney A. Ferguson

A Front Royal woman, Courtney Alexis Ferguson, 28, has been charged with three misdemeanors related to a police report she filed with the Front Royal Police Department on May 25, 2018.

Ferguson reported that she had been a victim of an attempted robbery in which she sustained leg and hand lacerations. She reported that two masked men demanded money during which a struggle ensued. However, an investigation uncovered evidence that Ferguson filed a false police report.

Detectives determined that Ferguson sustained her injuries while kicking and breaking a glass door at the former Simonpietri’s Pawn Shop at 528 South Royal Avenue.

Ferguson has been charged with three misdemeanors: filing a false police report, destruction of property and interfering with the property rights of another.

Anyone with information regarding this incident, which remains an active investigation, is asked to contact Detective Waller with the Front Royal Police Department at (540) 636-2208 or via email at lwaller@frontroyalva.com.
