Shirley Mae Chiveral (1944 – 2024)
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Shirley Mae Chiveral, who left this world peacefully on February 13th, 2024, at 79 years old.
She was born on December 6th, 1944, to Anna and Cecil Nicholson of Front Royal, Va. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Cecil, and her brothers, Burnie and Dickie.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Walter Chiveral of Front Royal; a daughter, Carla Deluca of Pheonix, AZ; a daughter, Margie Conley (Brian) of Front Royal; a daughter, Janet Poe (Eric) of Front Royal; a son, Walter “Sonny” Chiveral (Erin) of Bernville, Pa; a sister, Margie Twaddle of Missouri; nine grandchildren, Tony Chiveral (Brittany), Christopher Melville, Keilyn Barrera (Sergio), Breann Oaxaca, Michael Oaxaca, Anna Poe, Mary Poe, Austyn Chiveral, and Parker Chiveral; two great-grandchildren, Renaeley and Everley Chiveral; numerous nieces and nephews; and her two beloved grand pups, Julio and Cooper.
She cherished her family and friends, finding joy in every moment shared together. Shirley’s legacy will forever live on in the memories of her loved ones. She will be deeply missed.
The family will have a visitation from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W Main St. Front Royal, Virginia 22630. The family will have a private graveside service at a later date.
Pallbearers will be Michael Oaxaca, Austyn Chiveral, Parker Chiveral, Tony Chiveral, Sergio Berrara and Jon Childress.
Though Shirley may no longer walk among us, her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all who were touched by her presence. May she rest in peace, knowing her love will endure for generations to come.
