Viola E. Green (1942 – 2025)

Viola E. Green, 83, of Front Royal, Virginia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Evergreen Health and Rehab in Winchester.

A Homegoing service will be held on Friday, November 28, at 1:00 at Maddox Funeral Home with the Revs: Ricky Chunn and Tonia Leavy officiating. Interment will follow in Good Hope Cemetery in Front Royal.

Ms. Green was born June 5, 1942, in Front Royal, Virginia, the daughter of the late James Campbell and Maude Roberta Green. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She worked for many years for the Warren County Public School System and was a long-time member of Williams Chapel C.M.E. Church in Front Royal.

Surviving are three sons, Douglas Green, John Green (Pamela), and Charlie Green, all of Front Royal; three daughters, Patricia Green and Donna Green, both of Front Royal, and Valerie Lynn of West Virginia; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Ms. Green was preceded in death by her companion and father of her children, John Caison; one great-grandchild, Ava Lynn Campbell; and three brothers, Russell Green, Richard Green, and Charles Green.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 28, from 12-1 p.m. at the funeral home
