Putting out a call to local trades and business owners. Christendom College has close to 500 students currently enrolled this school year, many of whom are interested in local internships! They are well educated, have the ability to think critically and “outside the box,” and are commonly known as people of good character. Students come from 45 US States, Canada, England, Ireland, Germany and Mexico. Statistics show approximately 400 out of the 3,000 Christendom alumni are now property owners and business owners: marketing, IT, construction and trades, retail, hospitality, real estate, education, financial and more.
The benefits of participating in an internship are priceless to a college student in so many ways. It gives students an opportunity to speak to people in the industry, test their own skills, gain professional contacts, boost confidence or even land a future full time job. Check out this article by Monster as recent students describe some benefits of internships: monster.com/career-advice/article/students-benefits-internships. As a business owner, you get to enjoy some extra help at the office while giving students a “test drive” in the workplace. A true win-win!
