May D. Landes, 67, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

May was born July 14, 1958, in Columbia, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Merritt and Elizabeth Ann Zeigler DeLaMater.

She retired after many dedicated years from the Warren County School System as a bus driver.

She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

Surviving are her devoted husband of 20 years, John B. Landes; two sons, Jay Trapnell (Sadia) and Justin Trapnell (Charlotte), all of Front Royal; one daughter, Elizabeth Thompson of Front Royal; two sisters, Diann Smith of Front Royal and Lerese DeLaMater (Stan Bruce) of Lakewood, Colorado; and seven grandchildren.
