The Community Foundation of the Northern Shenandoah Valley and Winchester’s Congregational Community Action Project (CCAP) announce a community fundraising campaign to honor the memory of CCAP’s longtime Director, Fran Ricketts, who passed away in July 2019.

This new campaign will raise money for a” Friends of Fran” fund at the Community Foundation of the Northern Shenandoah Valley that is designated to provide financial support to the continuing operations at CCAP. Donations to the new “Friends of Fran” fund will be matched up to $100,000 by a lead donor.

In announcing the creation of this campaign, Larry Weiss, Executive Director of the Community Foundation commented, “The Community Foundation is proud to be working with Frances Salmon and CCAP to honor the legacy of Fran Ricketts with the “Friends of Fran” campaign. The Matching Grant opportunity associated with this campaign is a once-in-a-lifetime chance for CCAP supporters to maximize their contributions.”

Persons wishing to contribute to CCAP’s “Friends of Fran” campaign may contribute online at cfnsv.org/friendsoffran. Contributions may also be mailed to the “Friends of Fran” at the CFNSV; P.O. Box 2391; Winchester, VA  22604. Contributions to the “Friends of Fran” are tax deductible.
