Appaloosa Music Festival will take place on Labor Day Weekend Aug. 31 – Sept. 2 at Skyline Ranch Resort and is quickly becoming DC and Northern Virginia’s roots music festival. Earlier this year Appaloosa was awarded the prestigious “Virginia is for Music Lovers” grant by the Virginia Tourism Corporation and used this grant to ink the Irish band from the blockbuster “The Titanic” – Gaelic Storm – as well as Indie/Bluegrass phenoms – Mandolin Orange.

Starr Hill and Bold Rock Cider have jumped in as the craft beer sponsors and most recently ENO Hammocks and MERRELL Shoes came on board as festival sponsors. ENO Hammock will set up a “hammock village” in the VIP Camping area and MERRELL shoes will have a both with fun games and will provide shoes/boots to rent for the day so you can see how you like them.

Appaloosa will also provide a free kids zone thanks to Integrity Home Mortgage and free face-painting all weekend, in addition to free music workshops with festival bands.

Last year the event drew 6,000 people and with an amazing lineup, food-trucks, craft vendors, Appaloosa 2018 promises to be better than ever.

Tickets are now on sale and kids 12 & Under go free. When asked, Front Royal native and festival founder Dan Fedoryka said: “We’re really proud of the festival we’ve built and hope the community will come out and see what its all about. As a kid, I never got to see live music, and here we’ve put together an amazing lineup that spans from Americana to Indie-Folk with bluegrass and Celtic in-between. Its just an awesome atmosphere and we hope, at the least, your readers will check out the videos of the last few years to see what this Front Royal event is about!”

Tickets are now on sale at www.appaloosafestival.com.
