Dorothy “Dottie” Huffman Roth (1924 – 2024)
Dorothy Huffman Roth, 100, of Bentonville, Virginia, went to her heavenly home on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Hidden Springs Senior Living in Bentonville.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 30, at noon at Front Royal Church of the Brethren, with Pastors Bobby and Diann Whetzel officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. The interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, Virginia, at a later.
Mrs. Roth was born June 2, 1924, in Roanoke, Virginia, the daughter of the late Archie Willis Huffman and Lola Clarabelle Hale Huffman. Mrs. Roth married the late Jesse Eugene Roth, who preceded her in death in April of 2022, after 77 years of marriage. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Bruno; son-in-law, Henry Bruno; sisters, Juanita Mason and her husband Paul and Orissa Beckner and her husband James; and nephews, Steven Mason and Jeff Beckner.
Surviving is a son, Michael and wife Tina of Warrenton; three grandchildren, Anthony Bruno of Mechanicsville, Aimee Bruno McCarthy and husband Kevin of Virginia Beach, and Andrew Bruno and wife Julie of Leesburg; six great-grandchildren, Matthew Bruno of Mechanicsville, Andrew Bruno, William Bruno, and Samantha Bruno of Leesburg, and Miles McCarthy and Molly McCarthy of Virginia Beach; sister-in-law, Flora Roth of Roanoke; and numerous dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
After graduating from William Fleming High School, she attended National Business College. She worked as a physician assistant in Roanoke, Virginia, and held various banking positions in Waynesboro, Virginia. She retired from Inova Fairfax Hospital in 1982 as Director of Cardiology.
Dottie was a dedicated wife, devoted mother, and loving grandmother and great-grandmother.
She instilled love, loyalty, and strong values in her family. She was a true example of the love of Christ and was deeply loved by her family and friends. She was full of joy; to know her was to laugh with her; to be part of her life was a gift.
She was a member of Front Royal Church of the Brethren and an avid golfer. Her love for her church, family, friends, traveling, singing, and gardening gave her much joy over the years.
