Front Royal Fireman’s Carnival Returns July 2 with Rides, Food, and Fireworks

Published

on

Get ready, Front Royal — the Fireman’s Carnival is almost here! One of the town’s favorite summer traditions is returning on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, and it promises another year of great food, family fun, thrilling rides, and community spirit. Hosted annually by the dedicated members of the fire department, this hometown favorite takes place on East 8th Street near Crosby Road.

Each evening, the carnival lot opens around 5:00 p.m., with rides usually getting underway between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. The cook building will be in full swing with all the classic favorites — and yes, that includes the famous relish. Longtime carnival-goers know it’s a hot item, so be sure to get yours early because it tends to sell out fast.

Please note, the carnival is closed on Sundays, as it always has been.

Rides and Games by Snyder Amusements

Snyder Amusements, a trusted name that’s been working with the carnival for years, provides the games and rides. Snyder Amusements sets its own prices for tickets and games, so be sure to check on-site for current costs. From spinning rides to classic carnival games, there’s fun for all ages.

Parade Night: Wednesday, July 9

One of the highlights of carnival week is the annual parade, happening on Wednesday, July 9. The lineup begins at 5:00 p.m. on East Stonewall Drive. The parade steps off around 6:00 p.m., winding its way through town and ending near the carnival lot on East 8th Street.

Due to ongoing bridge construction, there will be a detour in place this year. Visitors are asked to follow the posted signs on 6th Street to safely reach the event. Please plan accordingly and give yourself extra time to find parking and a good viewing spot.

Fireworks Night: Thursday, July 10

After the parade excitement, don’t miss the fireworks show scheduled for Thursday, July 10, once the Front Royal Cardinals baseball game has wrapped up. The fireworks will launch near the carnival grounds — weather permitting — and will be visible from many areas nearby. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and settle in for a classic summer night under the stars.

Final Day: Saturday, July 12

The 2025 Fireman’s Carnival wraps up on Saturday, July 12, so make sure you visit before it’s over. This beloved annual tradition supports the Front Royal fire department and brings neighbors together for nearly two weeks of summertime celebration.

With the smell of grilled favorites in the air, the bright lights of the Ferris wheel turning at sunset, and the sound of kids laughing as they try to win prizes, the Fireman’s Carnival captures everything special about summer in a small town.

So mark your calendar, bring your appetite, and make new memories with friends and family. This year’s event is shaping up to be one of the best yet.
