I spent 4 days in Sardinia, Italy last week reuniting with my dear friends from all over the globe (and meeting new ones from the 40 countries represented there). I just returned Monday from my 6th A Fest (best described in this YouTube Video). I’ve been attending this event twice a year since 2015 after my “Treadmill Transformation” began (I started watching motivational YouTube videos as I jogged in my basement and discovered the Theory of Awesomeness video by Vishen Lakhiani and decided to change my already wonderful life and one day attend the event).  The inspiration received & amazing people I’ve met through A Fest these years have had a huge impact on me and the progress I’ve made towards following my heart and passion to make more of a difference in the world.

Below is a brief explanation about Mindvalley’s new 10X optimized muscle building program from A Fest and Mindvalley founder, Vishen Lakhiani:

“10x is a powerful fitness program designed to get you 10x the results you’re now getting in a fraction of the time. Our initial data is showing that 30 mins a week can result in a 25% gain in muscular strength for someone under 40 — and almost a 50% gain for people older than 40. Your musculature has a massive correlation with your longevity, and we want to keep you fit and looking good well into your 80s.”

A 10X Session is 15-20 min:

  • 5  machines @ 90 seconds each, 30 seconds in between machines, 1-2x week

The Machines:

  • Chest
  • Row
  • Shoulder raise
  • Lat pull-down
  • Leg press

The key is super slow motion at top resistance!

“10X Your Fitness” is a hyper-abbreviated (12-15 min), high-intensity, full-body (Big-5) strength training protocol designed to maximize and maintain optimal levels of strength and lean muscle mass. Why strength and muscle mass? A person’s strength-to-muscle mass (S-MM) ratio has been shown to have the strongest positive correlation with key health, fitness, and longevity bio-markers. So, if you’re overall health, functional capacity, physical performance, physical appearance, and longevity status are sub-optimal, chances are you have sub-baseline levels of strength and muscle mass.”
