Asa “David” Pitkin Jr. (1964 – 2025)

Asa “David” Pitkin Jr., 61, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at INOVA Alexandria Hospital.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, with Pastor James Boyette officiating.  Burial will follow at Dry Run Cemetery in Fort Valley.

David was born on January 9, 1964, in Fairfax, Virginia, to the late Asa Pitkin Sr. and the late Mary Blevins Jackson.  He was also preceded in death by his son, Steven Pitkin, and sister, Peggy Carmichael.

Survivors include his three sons, Asa David Pitkin III, William “Tony” Pitkin (Kayla), and Billy Pitkin; brother, Billy Joe Pitkin (Winnie); two sisters, Lorrie Duren (Charles) and Patricia Thomas; girlfriend, Noona Malay; eight grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
