Maria Ofelia Georgiou (1974 – 2026)
Maria Ofelia Georgiou, 52, of Strasburg, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Blue Ridge Care Inpatient Center in Winchester, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Maddox Funeral Home. 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, with Sammy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Bennett’s Chapel Cemetery.
Maria was born on April 20, 1974, in El Salvador to the late Manuel and Ofelia Mendez Leiva. She worked as a medical assistant for many years.
Survivors include her two daughters, Alexandra Georgiou and Valentina Georgiou; her sister, Rosa Leiva; her best friend, Ana Moreno; and numerous extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
