Residents Deserve Clear Answers on Rising Costs

Published

on

To the Editor:

Like many Warren County residents, I am concerned about the rising cost of living in our community. Utility bills, real estate taxes, and personal property taxes have all increased, and many families are struggling to keep up. In my household, our utility bill is nearly $1,300.

Residents are being asked to pay more, but I believe we deserve clear answers about where that money is going. What is Warren County doing to control spending, reduce waste, and make sure taxpayer dollars are being used wisely? Families have had to cut back. Is the county doing the same?

I am also concerned about whether services are improving as costs rise. For example, some recycling options have been reduced, including glass and pizza boxes. If we are paying more but receiving fewer services, residents deserve an explanation.

I would also like to know what is being done to improve our schools and support public safety employees. These are important services that affect every resident.

I hope our elected officials will provide clear, public answers to these questions. Warren County residents deserve transparency, accountability, and responsible use of our tax dollars.
