Virginia Wine & Craft Festival Returns to Front Royal on May 16

Published

on

Downtown Front Royal will soon be filled with music, art, and the taste of Virginia wine as the 38th Annual Virginia Wine & Craft Festival returns on Saturday, May 16.

Hosted by the Front Royal–Warren County Chamber of Commerce, the festival runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., transforming Main and Chester Streets into a lively gathering place for residents and visitors from across the region.

The event is known for showcasing Virginia’s growing wine industry. This year, more than 20 wineries, along with cider and mead producers, will offer tastings. Participating vendors include Front Royal Cellars, Magnolia Vineyards, Morais Vineyards & Winery, and Wolf Gap Winery & Vineyard, among many others.

Wine tasting tickets cost $30 in advance and $40 at the gate, while general admission to the festival is free.

Beyond wine, the festival will feature nearly 200 artisans and crafters from across the East Coast. Shoppers can browse handmade goods ranging from jewelry and home décor to fine art and specialty items.

Food vendors will also be on site, offering a wide mix of options, from fresh seafood to classic festival favorites.

Live music will play throughout the day, adding to the festive atmosphere. Scheduled performers include Clarksdale Rising with special guest Matt Chellini and The Crone and The Crow.

Families can stop by the Kids Zone on Cloud Street to enjoy interactive activities and entertainment. Organizers say the area is designed to make the event welcoming to people of all ages.

“We’re proud to showcase not only Virginia’s incredible wineries, but also the creativity and energy of our small businesses, artisans, and community,” said Niki Foster, executive director of the Chamber. “This event is a true reflection of what makes our region so special.”

Organizers encourage visitors to spend extra time exploring Front Royal and Warren County, including local shops, restaurants, and outdoor attractions.

More information and tickets are available online or at the Chamber office in Front Royal.
