For just $15 admission, attendees will experience a performance that promises to be as unique and captivating as the man himself. The event will be held at 114 E. Jim White

Jim White is no ordinary artist. Over the past two decades, he has crafted a career as a critically acclaimed musician, visual artist, and writer. White’s eclectic career path has seen him transition from working a string of menial jobs to becoming a widely respected figure in the arts. His music, a mix of Americana and Southern Gothic, has found its way into numerous films and television shows, including the hit series Breaking Bad and the feature film El Camino.

Beyond music, White is known for his visual art exhibitions in galleries and museums across the U.S. and Europe. He’s also an award-winning author, with his first novel, Incidental Contact, making waves in the literary world. This “Magical Realism memoir” draws from his diverse life experiences, mainly his driving a taxi in New York City, which influenced his songwriting and storytelling.

One of White’s most notable contributions to popular culture is his role as the narrator and guide for the BBC documentary Searching for the Wrong-Eyed Jesus. The film, a surreal journey through the rural South, has garnered a cult following for its bizarre yet compelling portrayal of Southern life.

White’s journey to artistic success was far from straightforward. Before music, he worked various jobs, from dishwasher to road builder, and even spent thirteen years as a taxi driver in New York City. During this time, he met musician David Byrne, who recognized White’s talent and signed him to a record deal. This encounter marked the beginning of White’s career in music, leading to several solo albums and appearances on major television shows like The Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Conan O’Brien.

In addition to his music and writing, White has dabbled in the world of fashion, once working as a European model, and even served as a literary commentator for the National Endowment of the Arts. His life is filled with stories that are as unconventional as they are fascinating—like the time he nearly got into a fistfight with Ellen Degeneres.

This rare performance in Front Royal offers a unique opportunity to witness the storytelling and musical prowess of Jim White in an intimate setting. Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to his work, this is an event you won’t want to miss.
