Rocky Sherbrooke Rosenberry Jr. (1954 – 2026)

Rocky Sherbrooke Rosenberry Jr., 71, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away peacefully on “Football” Friday, January 16, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 21, at 12:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Sammy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Howesville United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Rocky was born September 12, 1954, in Front Royal, Virginia, the son of the late Rocky S. Rosenberry Sr. and Marcia Washbourne.

Rocky loved football and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His best buddy, “Dog,” Venus, will miss him dearly.

Surviving is his devoted wife of 31 years, Debra Rosenberry; son, Rocky S. Rosenberry III and fiancée Judy; daughter, Susan Chapman; step-daughters, Amanda Brown and husband Trevor and Brandi Santmyers and fiancé Mike; sister, Carol Knighting and husband Don; two brothers, Mike Rosenberry and wife Kathy and Dale Sealock and wife Michelle; 11 grandchildren, Nicholas, Ashley, Savana, Lily, Madison, Levi, Willow, Lucius, Kristen, Hannah and Damien; six great-grandchildren, Kaiden, August, Ny, London, Mackenzi, and Wyatt, with two more on the way due in the spring.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, James Sealock; son, Clay Rosenberry; sister, Ginger Fravel; and great-grandson, Zaiden Jefferson.

Pallbearers will be Jim Riley, Mark Jeffries, Larry Andrick, Michael Rippeon, Ronnie Henry, Mike Heflin, and Stephan Tanner.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Wright, Trevor Brown, and Mike Ramey.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 2,1 from 11-12 at the funeral home.
