Thomas Ray “Tom” Lomax

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 12 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, with Sammy Campbell officiating.  A reception will follow at The Apple House, 4675 John Marshall Highway, Linden.

Mr. Lomax was born on July 6, 1953, in Washington, DC, to the late Milton and Elda Murray Lomax.  He grew up in Falls Church, Virginia, and graduated from Falls Church High School in 1972.  After graduation, Tom joined the United States Air Force, where he served honorably for three years.  After serving his country, Tom was hired by the National Park Service and later joined the Secret Service, retiring as a Lead Special Officer in 2009.  With the Secret Service, he protected Presidents, Vice Presidents, and Foreign Heads of State.  Tom’s greatest pastimes were surfing, playing music with his band, Civil War history, being a Confederate re-enactor with his cannon unit, and listening to the sounds of the 60’s and 70’s while strumming his guitar.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Korinna Lomax; daughter, Erin Marie Lomax; two brothers, David Lomax and Robert Lomax (Jane); niece, Heather Lomax Jones (Doug); and great-nephew, Sullivan Lomax Jones.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

A private interment will take place at Ceasetown Cemetery in Jackson Township, Pennsylvania, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, Ohio 45250-0301.
