No Ballot Question Needed—The Library Referendum Is This Election

Published

on

The upcoming Primary and General Elections are potentially the most important elections in Warren County/Front Royal history. People keep asking for the library issue to be put to a referendum – well THESE 2025 ELECTIONS ARE OUR REFERENDUM!

It means that people who want to save our award-winning, exemplary Samuels Library have to make voting a priority, and choose pro-library candidates for the Board of Supervisors in the Primary on the Republican ballot.  For the Primary Election it means voting for Tony Carter in Happy Creek District, and Hugh Henry in the Fork District.

Then again in November, this community needs to rally around pro-library candidates to flip the voting balance on the Board of Supervisors to bring an end to this mess that 4 of 5 current supervisors created.

Just nine people (4 members of the BoS and 5 members of the WCLB) are determining the fate of Samuels Library. In my opinion, this situation THEY created is 1000 times worse than the EDA scandal of the past – THEY caused this fake problem; THEY set up barriers to dialogue and discussion; THEY are totally responsible for this horrible, unnecessary situation! Samuels Library is the “heart” of our community, and sadly, this regime is sticking a dagger our “heart”.

Let’s all pull together by providing life-saving “CPR” to our beloved library with your pro-library vote!!

Early voting in the Primary Election begins May 2, 2025.  Complete voting information: https://warrencountyva.gov/589/Upcoming-ElectionsJune 17, 2025 Primary Elections.
