Derrick Michael Roy (1986 – 2024)

Derrick Michael Roy, 37, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024.

A visitation will take place at 11 a.m., immediately followed by a funeral service at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Bethel Baptist Church, 705 View Town Road, Amissville, Virginia, 20106, with the Reverend Henry G. Hall officiating. The burial will follow all services in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Derrick was born on June 6, 1986, to his mother, Dorothy French, and his late father, Michael Garfield Roy.

Surviving Derrick, along with his loving mother, is his stepfather, Robert French; his siblings, Michelle Roy and Tracey Roy; his niece and nephews, Mashayla Roy, Antwan Swain, Marcel Roy, and Andre Deville; and numerous extended family members.

Derrick was a die-hard Redskins fan. He never missed a game they played and firmly believed that “they should have won the Super Bowl.” Derrick also loved ALL of his family deeply.

Pallbearers will be Antwan Swain, Marcel Roy, Andre Deville, B.J. Jeffries, Monte Christian, and Darien Roy.

The honorary pallbearer will be William Harper.
